Did You Miss Our Webinar on Incorporating Student Progress Monitoring Into Teacher Education Courses?
On September 4, 2008, Dr. Pam Fernstrom led an exciting webinar on including student progress monitoring in preservice courses. This webinar was particularly important for higher education faculty in both general and special education. Are You a Teacher Educator? Check Out The New Professional Development Section of Our Website!
If you haven't visited the Student Progress Monitoring's website lately, you might have missed a new section that is specifically geared toward teacher educators.
This professional development section contains a core competency outline that can be used in higher education or on-going professional development settings. The outline contains all aspects of student progress monitoring, from basic concepts to specific Curriculum-Based Measurement (CBM) probe administration and scoring. Download the outline (MS Word or PDF) to access a populated version that contains links to all the resources on our website that pertain to each section of the outline. This is a work in progress and this page will be updated in the near future so check back soon for the finalized version.
This is the National Center on Student Progress Monitoring's Last Newsletter!
As our five-year cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) winds down, this will be the last regularly scheduled e-newsletter from the Progress Monitoring Center that you’ll receive. Of course, if there’s some fantastic information or activity related to progress monitoring, we will send out a “Progress Monitoring Center Extra!” during the next year. However, the National Center on Response to Interventionwill provide you with progress monitoring information related to RTI for the next several years, so be sure to sign up for the RTI Responder here.
We hope you’ve found our monthly e-newsletter helpful and informative. You will continue to have access to all of the evidence-based information that we’ve placed on our Web site. We’ve enjoyed developing and providing progress monitoring resources for you, and we hope you will continue to use them yourself and share them with your colleagues in our joint effort to enable all students to improve their academic outcomes.
Thank you so much for your participation with the National Center on Student Progress Monitoring!!
