Progress monitoring, comprehension

11/21/2007 1:01:00 PM (jnolen@ucfsd.org)

We switched to using the GRADE Assessment this year for a building wide screening in grades 3-5. We use DIBELS for K-2. With the GRADE we are looking for a progress monitoring tool for comprehension. The cloze terchniques from aimsweb and yearlyprogresspro seem too narrow. Any ideas?

We are using the State Tests (NY) to screen (Tier I, II, III levels). We use GRADE for Diagnostics (only for Tier II and III). We use STAR reading for Progress Monitoring. For those students with more intensive needs or who are refered by the Child Study (RTI) team, I use the QRI-IV. Hope this helps.

What is a good reading assessment for 4-5 year in pre-k? I''m trying to find out about any Reading Assessments to research for a class. I''m a new student in school for special education. Please help me to find a Reading Assessment to Research. Any suggestion.
